In late 2020, frustrated with the monotonous 9-5 nature of his work in media, local Sydney producer and musician Benjamin Potter decided to send himself broke by pursuing a lifelong teenage dream of recording a fully self-produced album. After a year of poking his way around a DAW, the result was the aggressively melancholic and heart-wrenching IKEBANA, a record personified by it’s focus on four failed relationships/love interests over the course of a few years. IKEBANA was released to local acclaim in March 2022, earning FBi Radio rotation for singles “the east and “breaking the Levy” as well as rave Triple J reviews of IKEBANA deep cut “sunday ”.
Shortly after, Ben recruited high school friend David Carrabs (Drums). Both trawled through many online band ad personals and eventually managed to convince Michael Baltins (Synths/keys) and Aidan Herbert (Bass) to come on board to work together on a forthcoming fully collaborative Len Lennox sophomore record.
