The After Thoughts are a four piece indie pop band made up of brother and sister Ruby and Oscar Firmstone, Alfie Jellett, and Martin O’Flynn. They were brought together by a love of all things music and their original songs reflect a melting pot of individual influence and talent that each member brings to the band. Their sound is a mixture of alternative rock steadiness with funk and soul sensibility, mixing this with distinct vocal harmonies and punchy instrumentation. Throughout 2024, they played packed-out shows at venues including Manning Bar, the Lord Gladstone and Bootleggers, alongside and supporting bands such as Ant Gallery, Darling Street and Lindsey. In July of 2024 they won the Bootleggers Set Vs Set band competition, as well as placing first in the USYD Battle of the Bands in August. They are planning to record and release their debut single in early 2025.
